Bio-Oil Raising Funds for Burn Survivors

Donating $1 for each documentary viewing in honor of fire prevention week.

Skin care brand Bio-Oil has created a documentary in the hopes of inspiring and providing support for burn survivors in honor of fire prevention week, which runs from Oct. 4-10.

For each share of the video, $1 on behalf of the brand—up to $25,000—will be donated to the Phoenix Society at the World Burn Congresstaking place Oct. 21-24.

Every year, more than 486,000 people receive medical treatment for a burn injury. The physical recovery aspects can take months or years and may involve numerous reconstructive surgeries and therapies, but the emotional and psychological challenges can run deep.

Here is a link to the video.

The Phoenix World Burn Congress is an annual, international conference that brings together 900 burn survivors, their families, caregivers, burn care professionals, and firefighters.

Founded in 1977, the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors is the leading national non-profit organization dedicated to empowering anyone affected by a burn injury.
